First things first...Since the 4th of July lands on a Wednesday this year, are you celebrating the weekend before or after? Decisions, decisions!
..
It looks like I’ll be venturing out of town for the long weekend after the 4th. I’m just as eager to escape the city for some fresh air as I aim to celebrate America’s independence. Fireworks, picnics, drinks, and barbecues…what’s not to love?
..
Well, to my skin, hair, and body...There’s a lot to not love in the summer heat and humidity. But thankfully I’m well equipped to recover from dry hair and skin from the sun, or the barbecue treats that I indulge in. Keep these products handy and I can assure you that your travel experience will be stress-free, healthy, and of course, hydrating. All products mentioned are TSA friendly, of course!
..
I’m not going to lie, this stuff is ALWAYS in my bag, so naturally I travel with it too. Small, light, and extremely effective, this dry shampoo powder is a travel staple. It soaks up any excess oil in my hair and gives it a tousled, voluminous look.
..
After a long day in the sun, my skin is in need of some major hydration. This oil is a two in one-- Providing rich hydration and adding a hint of shimmer to my skin. The small, glitter reflects are gorgeous, especially when the sun hits them! I feel like a glowing sun goddess when I wear this oil. Plus, they come in two different colors, which look great on light and dark skin tones!
..
Papaya Enzymes:
Papayas contain an enzyme called papain that aids digestion. I take two tablets (this may vary depending on the brand) after a meal. You can buy these at any health food or supplement store. It’s such a great, natural way keep your digestive system on track through your weekend getaway!
..
My skin always feels tight and dry after a days worth of sun exposure. Since my skin is sensitive, I don’t want to go in with a harsh cleanser. Rather, I cleanse with oil. Cleansing Oil draws out dirt, oil, and impurities from the skin. It’s a gentle, nourishing, and effective way of cleansing your skin after a long day in the sun. After cleansing, I gently pat a few drops of Rosemary & Clary Sage Serum onto my face. This oil is excellent for summer because its non-greasy formula absorbs quickly into the skin to maintain the perfect balance between hydration and oil control.
..
Lavender Essential Oil:
Lavender is calming and helps relieve stress and anxiety, making for the perfect travel oil whether you’re driving, flying, or traveling by train. Simply massage a few drops of our Lavender Body Oil on your wrists or on the back of your neck.
