Helichrysum oil, otherwise known as immortelle or everlasting oil, is one we continue to see on the rise in cosmetic ingredients and for good reason. Inspired by our western herbalism roots, this ingredient is cultivated in many parts of Europe. Its name is derived from the Greek helios, meaning “sun” and chrysos, meaning “gold.” This costly and scarcely available oil is pure sun-gold in a bottle, providing skin with antimicrobial, antibiotic, and regenerative compounds that promote skin cell regeneration.
This oil has rightfully earned its fountain of youth status. The flowers of the helichrysum plant retain their brilliant color, even after they have dried out. Similarly, when applied to the skin, the oil has an everlasting effect, defying the process of time by smoothing the skin and reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. It’s emollient properties help keep skin hydrated and plump. Thus giving the skin a more radiant, youthful complexion. We love to embrace our so-called imperfections, but who doesn’t love a radiant, healthy complexion? This oil will have your skin glowing from within.
Immortelles skin-healing properties are amplified by Rosehip Oil in our Immortelle & Myrrh Serum. After gaining popularity as an oil that has a seemingly magical ability to cure skin blemishes and scarring, Rosehip Seed Oil became a skincare staple in almost everyone’s skincare routine. As our serums are formulated to target specific skin ailments with a carefully curated blend of pure organic oils, we of course had to add this powerful ingredient to our formula. Another ingredient to note is Myrrh. Rightly highlighted in the name, this oil is an excellent compliment to Immortelle, as its antioxidant properties work to rejuvenate and heal the skin, as well as reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
Lastly, I would like to give a special mention to avocado oil, another key ingredient in this super-serum. We are raving about this oil just as much as people are raving about avocado toast-- it’s just that good. Thanks to the beta carotene, protein, lecithin, fatty acids, and vitamins A, D, and E found in avocado oil, your skin retains moisture and increases its collagen metabolism. It’s one of the richest sources of fatty acids for your skin. Its hydrating, softening, smoothing, and even works to fight acne and inflammation.
An oil for everyone
Finding the right facial oil for your unique skin type can be challenging. Although our Immortelle & Myrrh Serum’s strength resides in its exceptional ability to deliver essential nutrients to the skin to protect against signs of aging and uneven skin tone and texture, it is an oil that can truly be used by anyone, no matter what your skin type, tone, or texture is. Because we believe in beauty & skincare for all, and our formulations reflect that.
